Missionary Kids & Home Remedies

MKs (also called TCKs, “Third Culture Kids”) are just like other kids in about a million ways, but they’re quite different from kids raised in one culture in at least two million ways. Today, I told Kaylen that she is the definition of an MK; her photo should be on the Wikipedia web site page [...]

It’s hard to know if this is simply due to the huge presence [...]

Pray for rain!

In an e-mail message, RVA’s superintendent, currently on furlough in the United States, encouraged people to pray for today’s protest rally, “A huge downpour would not only provide some needed rain, but could very much dampen the hot heads looking for trouble.” Unfortunately, it’s a beautiful, sunny day here, not a cloud in the sky.

Update

Today we had a meeting of the full RVA staff to talk about the ongoing situation here in Kenya. The opposition has called for a major rally on Thursday at Uhuru Park in Nairobi. The government is likely to try to prevent such an action. Our administration sees this as a key moment and has [...]
